Break Free: A Series Of Eintous
Inspired by Zi Corley’s substack post ‘The Future is a Wild Horse: Honoring the Eintou.’
Longing
Your voice
lives in my soul.
It whispers to me daily, mockingly
reminding me that I am yours to keep.
I will clasp my hands together
begging that the Divine
forgives us.
Afro-Pessimism
I believe
That I need to
come to terms with the reality
that in this life I am not human.
Perhaps in the life to come
God will reward me
as Human.
Deliver Me
Hate me.
Do not dare forget
that you must Other me daily.
Bury my freedom and joy with your hands.
Let my tears fuel your spite
as I fight death.
Deliver me.
My Kind Of Love
God made
me a believer to
worship you as our souls
merge into one and I kiss the eternal.
The Garden of Eden lies in
your eyes. Cuddle me
into oblivion.
As I Dream
Last night
I experienced the Divine
at the tip of my fingers.
You were in my dreams singing to me.
Kissing love letters into my forehead.
For old times sake,
Love me.
Where Shall I Put My Anger?
Perhaps anger
was my first emotion.
Like the womb recited white curses
long before it understood how to give birth.
Indeed, whilst my mother was cut,
the scissors sketched death
into me.
I'm sobbing this is so good T-T these are such a pleasure to read
Ohmygod! These are so beautiful 🫶🏾 I still struggle with such poetic expression, but have always loved that the medium allows you to capture so much emotion/expression in a matter of a few lines. thank for sharing these pieces of you with us!
